Yellow or Orange
Adaptive Cruise Fault
Distronic-style cruise cannot maintain distance.
This light indicates that your vehicle's adaptive cruise control system is no longer functioning correctly. Because the sensors used to maintain distance from other cars are offline, the cruise control feature will be disabled until the fault is repaired.
What to do
- 01Check your front bumper and grille for dirt, snow, or mud that might be blocking the radar sensor.
- 02Turn your vehicle off, wait for one minute, and restart it to see if the system resets.
- 03Drive manually as you normally would, as standard cruise control may also be unavailable.
- 04Contact Miles Tech Auto to schedule a diagnostic appointment to pinpoint the fault.
Other common causes
A misaligned radar sensor, a disconnected wiring harness, a software glitch in the powertrain control module, or a failed sensor caused by road debris impact.
How we check it
Our technicians will scan the vehicle for error codes and perform a physical inspection of the radar or camera alignment.
Symbols vary by make and model — always confirm in your owner's manual. If the light is red, the car feels different, or the light is blinking, stop and call us before driving further.
