Adaptive Suspension
The damping or air suspension has a fault.
The adaptive suspension light indicates that the vehicle's electronic system responsible for controlling ride comfort and handling has detected a fault. This system normally adjusts shock absorbers in real time to match road conditions.
What to do
- 01Check your owner's manual to see if there are specific driving restrictions for your model.
- 02Pay attention to any noticeable changes in ride comfort or vehicle handling.
- 03Schedule an appointment with us at Miles Tech Auto to have the system scanned for error codes.
Other common causes
Common causes include a faulty ride height sensor, a blown air suspension fuse, a leak in an air strut, or a disconnected wiring harness.
How we check it
We perform a diagnostic scan of the suspension control module and visually inspect the shocks and sensors for physical damage.
Symbols vary by make and model — always confirm in your owner's manual. If the light is red, the car feels different, or the light is blinking, stop and call us before driving further.
