A door is not fully latched.

Stop safely

This indicator means that at least one of your vehicle's doors, the trunk, or the hood is not completely latched shut. It serves as a safety warning that a door could potentially open while the vehicle is in motion.

What to do

  1. 01Pull over to a safe location away from traffic.
  2. 02Walk around the vehicle and firmly close every door, the trunk, and the hood.
  3. 03Check the dashboard display to see if the light turns off.
  4. 04If the light stays on after securing all doors, call our service department for further guidance.

Other common causes

A faulty door latch sensor, a damaged door switch, or a buildup of ice or debris in the latch mechanism.
