High Beam Headlights
High beams are on and can dazzle other drivers.
This indicator shows that your high beam headlights are currently switched on to provide maximum visibility. It is a status light rather than a warning, so it is normal for this to be illuminated while the high beams are active.
What to do
- 01Locate the headlight control lever on your steering column.
- 02Pull or push the lever away from you to turn the high beams off.
- 03Check that the blue icon on your dashboard disappears to confirm they are off.
Other common causes
This symbol may also remain illuminated if the headlight switch is faulty, if there is an issue with the high beam relay, or if the light stalk is damaged.
How we check it
Our technicians check the headlight switch, wiring, and relays to ensure the lighting system operates correctly.
Symbols vary by make and model — always confirm in your owner's manual. If the light is red, the car feels different, or the light is blinking, stop and call us before driving further.
