Yellow or Orange
Trailer Connected
A trailer is detected on the tow circuit.
This indicator confirms that your vehicle has successfully detected a trailer or lighting system plugged into your towing harness. It is a status light that appears when the electrical connection for trailer lights or brakes is active.
What to do
- 01Verify that your trailer plug is fully seated in the vehicle socket.
- 02Walk around the trailer to ensure all brake and turn signal lights are functioning correctly.
- 03If you are not towing, inspect the trailer wiring harness on your vehicle for debris or corrosion.
- 04If the light stays on while nothing is connected, simply contact us to schedule a diagnostic inspection.
Other common causes
Corrosion in the trailer wiring connector, a short circuit within the trailer lighting system, or a faulty trailer light module.
How we check it
Our technicians will inspect the vehicle's trailer plug for shorts and test the wiring module for electrical faults.
Symbols vary by make and model — always confirm in your owner's manual. If the light is red, the car feels different, or the light is blinking, stop and call us before driving further.
