Yellow or Orange
ABS
Anti-lock braking is disabled; normal brakes still work.
The ABS light indicates a fault within your Anti-lock Braking System that prevents the wheels from locking up during hard braking. While your regular brakes will still function normally, the computer-assisted safety feature is currently inactive.
What to do
- 01Check your brake fluid level to ensure it is within the recommended range.
- 02Drive carefully and avoid aggressive braking since the anti-lock feature is disabled.
- 03Schedule an appointment at Miles Tech Auto to have your diagnostic codes scanned.
Other common causes
A faulty wheel speed sensor, a blown fuse, or an issue with the ABS control module are common triggers.
How we check it
Our technicians will perform a diagnostic scan to retrieve specific fault codes and inspect the wheel speed sensors for damage or debris.
Symbols vary by make and model — always confirm in your owner's manual. If the light is red, the car feels different, or the light is blinking, stop and call us before driving further.
