Yellow or Orange
Traction Control
The traction control system is off or faulted.
This light indicates that your vehicle's traction control system is currently turned off or is experiencing a fault. It means your car may have less grip on slippery surfaces like rain, snow, or loose gravel.
What to do
- 01Check your dashboard for a dedicated traction control button and try pressing it once to see if the light turns off.
- 02Drive cautiously and avoid aggressive acceleration or sudden maneuvers, especially on wet or icy roads.
- 03Schedule an appointment at our shop for a diagnostic scan to identify why the system is deactivated or showing a fault.
Other common causes
Common causes include a faulty wheel speed sensor, a damaged wiring harness, steering angle sensor issues, or a problem within the ABS module.
How we check it
Our technicians will perform a diagnostic scan to retrieve fault codes and inspect the wheel speed sensors for damage or debris.
Symbols vary by make and model — always confirm in your owner's manual. If the light is red, the car feels different, or the light is blinking, stop and call us before driving further.
