Stability Control (ESP)
Electronic stability control is disabled or faulted.
This light indicates that your vehicle's electronic stability control system is experiencing a fault and is currently disabled. The system is designed to help you maintain control during slippery conditions, so you should drive with extra caution while it is off.
What to do
- 01Check your owner's manual to see if you accidentally pressed a stability control button near your dashboard.
- 02Turn your vehicle off and restart the engine to see if the light resets.
- 03Contact Miles Tech Auto to schedule a diagnostic appointment if the light remains on.
Other common causes
Common causes include a faulty wheel speed sensor, a malfunctioning steering angle sensor, issues with the ABS module, or a low battery voltage condition.
How we check it
Our technicians will perform a computerized scan of your vehicle's safety modules to pinpoint the specific sensor or component triggering the fault.
Symbols vary by make and model — always confirm in your owner's manual. If the light is red, the car feels different, or the light is blinking, stop and call us before driving further.
