Yellow or Orange
Auto Start-Stop Disabled
The stop-start system has been disabled or faulted.
This symbol means the automatic engine start-stop system is currently disabled and not turning off your engine at stops. It is a convenience feature intended to save fuel, but it does not affect the core operation of your vehicle.
What to do
- 01Check your owner manual to see if you accidentally pressed the physical disable button for the system.
- 02Ensure your seatbelt is fastened and your driver door is fully closed, as these often deactivate the system.
- 03Schedule an appointment with us to have the system scanned for fault codes if the light stays on.
Other common causes
Low battery charge, engine coolant temperature not yet at operating level, climate control system set to extreme temperatures, or a malfunction in the brake pressure sensor.
How we check it
We test the battery health and scan the start-stop module for specific error codes.
Symbols vary by make and model — always confirm in your owner's manual. If the light is red, the car feels different, or the light is blinking, stop and call us before driving further.
