Key Fob Battery Low

The remote battery is nearly flat.

Service soon

This symbol means the internal battery inside your remote key fob is losing its charge. It serves as a reminder to replace the battery before the fob stops working entirely.

What to do

  1. 01Check your owner manual for the specific battery type required for your fob.
  2. 02Purchase a replacement coin-cell battery at a local hardware or electronics store.
  3. 03Follow your vehicle manual instructions to carefully open the fob and swap the battery.
  4. 04Contact Miles Tech Auto if you are having trouble opening the fob or if the new battery does not resolve the issue.

Other common causes

Corroded battery contacts inside the fob, a faulty transmitter board, or an issue with the car's keyless entry receiver module.

How we check it

We test the signal strength of your fob and check for any battery contact corrosion during your visit.

Symbols vary by make and model — always confirm in your owner's manual. If the light is red, the car feels different, or the light is blinking, stop and call us before driving further.
